A semester-long class that covers the basics of good story structure and creative writing. Students will practice writing, peer critique and editing, and what it takes to get a story from idea to published paper. They’ll end with an original short story or chapter from a novel they can then seek for publication, add to their college transcript and application, or hang with pride on the fridge. This provides either a semester elective or half-credit English composition class.
for 11th-12 graders & mature 9th-10th graders
